Resendez Family: Our lil "Sweet Pea" is here and her name is Reese Isabella Resendez!!!!!

Hello!!! I can't believe I am just now updating the blog since our lil "Sweet Pea" was born almost 12 weeks ago but things have been quite different since having our first baby! Wow! I used to get on the computer, check my e-mail, facebook, update the blog, etc, all of the time and now I have no time! And I definitely have "Baby Brain" which I think means that I forget about anything that doesn't have to do with the baby? Anyway, our lil "Sweet Pea" was born on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 at 4:00pm and weighed six pounds and ten ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long and her name is:

REESE ISABELLA RESENDEZ!!!!!

We are in absolute love, awe, wonder and amazement with her! We cannot believe that she is going to be 12 weeks old tomorrow!? AH!? I have been spending so much time holding her and staring at her that I never get everything done, for example updating this blog, but oh well! They grow up so fast so I just want to spend every possible moment with her!

The birth didn't happen exactly the way I thought it would but that's okay! I went in for a routine doctor's appointment on Friday, August 27th and they said my blood pressure was 150/101 and that was too high. They had me lay down to see if it would go down but it went up a little to 150/103. They said I needed to go straight over to Labor & Delivery at NAMC for monitoring immediately. They said if it went down I might get to go home but if it went up or stayed the same they would be inducing me that day! Ah!?

So, Serg and I raced home to grab our bags, pack last minute stuff and throw everything in the car! We got to the hospital and my blood pressure did go down but my Doctor came by and said that since I was due on August 31st which was in 4 days, she didn't really feel comfortable sending me home in case anything happened. She asked if I would feel more nervous going home or being induced and I said BEING INDUCED!!! But, she, Serg and my Mom all felt more nervous sending us home, so we decided to induce at the Doctor's recommendation.

I was induced that night starting at 6pm and she arrived the next day at 4:00pm exactly! I thought it was so funny cause Serg and I kept thinking she would be here around 4pm and he was telling everyone that she would be here around 4pm and she was born at 4:00pm on the dot! They put her on me and she looked right at me like she had known me for years! I bawled, Serg bawled and my Mom bawled and it is a moment we will never forget!!!
