Serg was in a car accident!

Sorry, that last post was so long, I forgot to include this! So, I got food poisoning or something on April 17, Serg's Dad had a heart attack on April 18 and just 9 days later, Serg was in a car accident! I was so worried when he called to tell me that he had just been in an accident. He was driving along and the car in front of him stopped abruptly, so he stopped, but the car behind him was coming over a curve and slammed into him causing Serg to hit the car in front of him because of the force with with he was hit! Poor Serg was then sandwiched in between two cars.
He told me on the phone he was "fine" but I got there to pick him up and I see that the car is totaled, both air bags deployed and one hit him in the chin and burned and cut his arm! He also admitted to me that he was woozy and out of it after the crash and had a headache, neck ache and backache, including whiplash. I took Serg to the Doctor to be checked out cause I have seen people get into an accident and think they only have certain injuries and later find out that they had much more serious injuries than they ever knew.
The Doctor said that yes, he definitely had whip lash and that was why he had a headache, etc. His blood pressure was high, which is very odd for Serg since his blood pressure is usually low or perfect! She said that the next day he would feel like he got run over by a train! She prescribed some meds and told him that he would have to start physical therapy, too.
Oh yes, Serg was alone in the car when this happened and was driving my 10 year old Mitsubishi Montero sport. We really thought it was totaled and just found out last week that it is indeed totaled. It sucks that we now have three more days of our rental car before we have to have gotten another car! It also sucks that while that Montero was old, it never gave us any problems and we would have driven it until it totally died! So, we never wanted to have to get another car until we had to and now we have to very soon.
I am very proud of myself that I bought that car totally by myself 8 years ago and made all of the payments and totally paid it off! It was so nice not having a car payment with that car and now is the worst possible time to start having an additional car payment with our first child on the way, trying to get all of the things that she needs, getting our condo ready for her, etc!
