Well, our lil "Sweet Pea" had her first biophysical profile on July 9th, 2010! For anyone that doesn't know what a Biophysical profile is, I have copied and pasted info I found below:
A biophysical profile (BPP) test measures the health of your baby (fetus) during pregnancy. A BPP test may include a nonstress test with electronic fetal heart monitoring and a fetal ultrasound. The BPP measures your baby's heartrate, muscle tone, movement, breathing, and the amount of amniotic fluid around your baby.
We are thrilled to report that our lil "Sweet Pea" scored an 8 out of a possible 8! They estimated her weight to be at 4lbs 7oz. Their estimation of her weight can be off by up to 10%, but if it is, we hope she weighs more and not less! They said that all of her measurements were normal. Yea!!!
