We went to our regular Dr appt right after this and my Dr said the same thing. She said these are things that sometimes just happen and with most pregnancies you wouldn't even know if tummy growth or amniotic fluid were on the low side of normal cause you wouldn't be getting these biophysical profiles done. She said that since they have a microscope on "Sweet Pea" and I they are able to see all of these things. Ever since my blood pressure started being elevated she said that our goal was to get to 36 weeks. Well, after I was put on bed rest my blood pressure started going down and she said the bed rest was definitely working! Our goal was then to get to 37 weeks since it is considered full-term but now we have made it to that and are hoping to keep her in there longer! But now that my blood pressure is elevated but holding steady, the amniotic fluid is on the low side of normal. They said if anything doesn't look completely perfect from now on, we will induce early.
I am afraid of being induced cause it causes a more painful labor and an increased risk of a C-section, but we want to do whatever is best for our girl. My Dr said that being induced, having high blood pressure and having low amniotic fluid all put me at an increased risk for having a C-section. What is funny is that I have always had a feeling I was going to have a C-section and now I am even more convinced. I think it's cause I was three weeks late and they even induced to make me come and nothing progressed and my Mom had to end up having a C-section. And even though I was three weeks late, I only weighed 6lbs 1oz!? I told my Dr that is the main reason I always wanted to make it to 40 weeks with "Sweet Pea." I heard babies normally weigh around what their parents weigh and since I was only 6lbs being so late...My Dr said that was very unusual for me to be that tiny at 3 weeks late and babies don't always weigh around what their parents did. Thank Goodness! Grow "Sweet Pea", GROW!
